"United 93"

I'm not going to get very deep into a post about this film here, but I just have to say that EVERY TIME I see the ad for United 93,

I bawl. I cry and cry and cry. JUST BY SEEING THE 30-SECOND AD. Say what you will about the zillions of things people seem to need to say about this film, but that's some brilliant effin' trailer-making.

But are you planning to see it? I've heard it's good (for which I'm grateful, because if it was badly made, that would just be truly awful), but I don't know...I just feel like I can't sit through this. I watched it all unfold on TV that day--saw the second plane hit, live on the Today show & then watched hours & hours of coverage. I don't know.

The trailer for this movie gets me too. Is it supremely weird that I want to partake in a double feature afternoon starting with Stick It and ending with United 93?

Hannah, I don't know. I really don't. I too have heard it's excellent filmmaking (and I should hope so), but I just don't know.

I did watch Inside 9/11 and reviewed it here, but I think the big difference there is that I watched that AT HOME and on TiVo, allowing me the luxury of having the pause button to keep me from truly hyperventilating most of the time. I just don't know if I could take a public, theatre-bound experience of that level.

So, I'm like you. I just don't know.

KiKi, the fact that you would see "Stick It" followed immediately by "United 93" is exactly why I love you so.

But, having seen "Stick It," I can only say that I am almost 100% certain that you would NEVER be able to do anything after watching "Stick It" other than gush about how FRICKIN' AWESOME that movie is.

Just a theory.

I would want to see them in the other order, KiKi. Sad and THEN happy. Like eating dessert last.
