Hollyweird

This town is... odd. It's complex. It's very, very interesting. Yeah. Let's say that.

I mean... I guess it's nothing surprising in this town that someone who, three years ago, made it VERY clear that you were pond scum in her book doesn't hesitate to make contact now, leading off with, "Wow! You've done so many wonderful things in such a short period of time. I always knew you had it in you! Hey... could you lend a hand? I'm hoping to make some headway in the industry and I really think you would be a great person to mentor me," without so much as a, "I know we didn't end on the best of terms," or, "I was a real dick after that whole thing went down."

Nothing surprising, maybe.
Ballsy, hell yeah.

Oh, and will I help? Of course! *I* don't burn bridges. I just blog about them. ;)

precisely why you will continue to be an "overnight success", and why you will always have the hollyweirdoes begging at your feet.

You handle that very well and so smart to NEVER burn briges.........geez can you imagine that. I swear some folks in Tinsel town have more guts than a government mule! LOL I have added you rblog to my blog roll on my site by the way!

Good for you Bon. I wouldn't have helped.

But I'm a hack, and we notch up grudges like conquests.

this reminds me of an anecdote I once read about an emperor of ancient china who was known for poisoning the wine of his not-so-welcome guests.

one of his most trusted guards had turned on him, and he found out about it, and the guard knew he had found out about it, but the emperor didn't say anything. he just invited him to dinner.

so at dinner, when the wine was served, the guard was trembling, sure he was about to drink his death. but the wine wasn't poisoned.

and from that day on, that guard was the most loyal and faithful servant to the emperor he could have ever asked for.

Wow that story is a inspriration and so is Bonnie how she handled that. I was recently betrayed by a friend of nine years which I wrote about on my blog and I ofcourse had to cut my ties with her but my fire Leo Personality sometime gets the best of me. I parted ways with some words and that was it!

I need to work on calming down first. It's so hard being a fire sign LOL

What's that they say? "Keep your friends close, and your enemies closer?"

I'd prefer to convert enemies to friends--of the genuine variety. But I also know that I'm stupid not to collect all bits of info to my body of knowledge about a person.

Very classy move. Be the light, and sh*t.

Bon, I can only think of 2 people this could be (mostly beacause, everyone who knows you, loves you). You can tell me if I'm right over lobster and cocktails at Tana's. ;) Good on ya, sis!
