I love casting!! This so so so so rocks! Yippee!

just curious...does that mean if you don't have a demo reel, the chances of making it into a pre-read are slim?

Did you watch the Duel tonight?!?!???? It's so the best season ever. I'm almost embarrassed to admit who made me cry in tonight's episode.
31 watermelons indeed.

No, not really! Obviously, if you have a demo reel up, we can decide whether you're right for the role, right for this project, etc., and not waste your time (or ours) if you're just totally not right for it.
If you don't have a demo reel up, that doesn't take you out of the running, but the slots for prereads are FEW... so to get one is already ultra competitive.
But no ONE factor (like having a demo reel) is going to tip the scales for an appointment. Way more goes into it than that.
Oh, and KiKi, who made you cry?!? WHO?!? I just watched it and I could not figure out who would do that to you. Wes? Really? He's just so... WES.
31 watermelons indeed.
Miss you, KiKi.
