Working

Working like crazy trying to finish up this policy book. Then I get started on the Algonquin proof. I never did get dressed today–still in my pjs.
Sales tax in Dallas is 13%. In Fresno it’s 7.85%. So I think we’re going to buy the furniture here, maybe next week, when we haggled to get about 14% off the “sale” price. We’d get this bed, this chest of drawers and mirror, and two of these night tables. I haven’t made up my mind about the canopy. Joe likes it, so I guess we’ll get it. Any of you have any experience with one? What are the pros and cons?
Joe had a rough morning. Stubbed his toe on the cat dishes and sprayed cat food and water everywhere and left paths of blood. Then he knocked over his grandmother’s prized clock, broke it to pieces, sending shards of the glass casing all over the living room. Then I discovered he accidently locked poor Hank in the trunk of his car all night, and he felt sick guilty about that, though I guess his bad luck ended because Hank had not relieved himself in there. Poor kitty. It didn’t teach him not to sneak into small enclosed areas that can be closed, because I almost accidently shut him in the hall closet this afternoon. Joe left for Dallas, which is just as well, because, as stated, I’m insanely busy with work.
I had a reason to blog but now I forget what it was. Very weary. Very tired. Very headachey. At least I’ll make some money to buy a super nice bedroom set.
