If Jimmy Cracks Corn and No One Cares, Why Is There a Song about Him?

The subject is from an e-mail Stephanie sent me. I have never understood that song, and at times I have tried to search for the meaning. What is it about anyway? One cousin suggested about making corn liquor. I have no better ideas. Do you? I would love to hear wild theories. Or real ones.
I went to a salsa lesson last night at Farm, and it was the most fun ever. I will regularly be busy from 7 to 9 on Mondays for a while. I think newcomers can join in anytime. The class is taught at three different levels. It moved pretty quickly, and I picked it up very quickly, so it must be easy to learn. Right now I just know the main steps and sort of how to put them together with a partner, but they are still stiff and styleless. We rotate partners every few minutes, which helps too, and I gather that is part of salsa dancing too. The most fun ever.
However, there was one creepy guy there. He’s the same creepy guy who was stalking us at Kate’s birthday dinner. He didn’t know there were salsa lessons there until he got there–I gather he just constantly hangs out at that bar. He tried to buy my drink, but luckily I’d already paid for it. He would stand too close to me, so I’d step back, then he’d step closer. He did not take hints. He did this to all the women there. Luckily, a coworker and his wife were there, so I escaped to them often. And they caught me up on what I’d missed the week before.

  1. Christie and I have a great routine for putting the fear of God into creepy stalker guys. Let us know if you need us to terrify this slowboy into leaving you alone forever.
No clues on the Jimmy Cracking corn song.

I like the new look! If you ever get sick of Chip, you can always ask me about web stuff – I love making banners, tweaking colors, etc. :)
