The Ides of February

This is what my sweet Valentine (me) gave me yesterday:

And I was thrify too! Got them at Helix, but for less than $15.
And today I was thrilled to discover I have a flowering quince in my yard:

It’s a bit neglected and sickly, but with a little TLC it will be glorious! I also have bulbs coming up everywhere: daylilies, irises, hyacinths, and daffodils all over.
And I hung up this birdhouse today on a fencepost along my driveway.

Joe made this for me years back, and it’s a bit worse for wear, but still lovely and functional. I have lots of other birdhouses still in storage, hope to put one on each fencepost, decorate the fence some. Yay!
Among my future planned super fun adventures is to have an apron-making day at my house. Sarah M. and Alison are already in, and anyone interested is invited. Please share patterns too. Here’s a very basic one, but I want to do something a little more decorative. I tried to look up the one Carrie made a while back but couldn’t find it. But I did find Teen Girl Squad mittens! Let’s get ready to Look So Good!
