Why I Am Blogging Intead of Enjoying Twilight Festivities

Because I’m worn out from all the other fun I’ve had all weekend.
I took off Friday, so my weekend started then. Jenny and Anne Marie and I went to the see knitted/crocheted motorcycle that Will Turnage told us about. It was amazing. Even the keys in the ignition were covered in yarn.

Then off to lunch to meet Leslie and her friends, where we shouted in excitement that Carrie and the Pants are getting hitched. Very happy news.
Then Friday night went to a cookout at Shawn’s, where I had a lovely and delicious time. Several Spynotebookers were in attendance. There were margaritas and confederate jasmine. Mmmm.
This morning I had a garage sale, but not a whole lot of traffic–the weather was cold (relatively) and dreary. I did make back what I spent on the newspaper ad, and with Chip’s, Alison’s, and Shawn’s help, I got my old computer fixed to sell. Still have a lot left, but am hoping the Potter’s House will come pick it all up. By the way, if anybody is in the market for a cool and funky chandelier, there are two here. They are fabulous, particularly Anne Marie’s. I wish I had a place for it.
Then I went to the gym with Jenny, a trip I was in deep need of, and after working out we tried out the steam room. Now I’m all relaxy and can’t move, so I’m missing out on hanging out downtown for one of the biggest events of the year and with Lara and Brian Carrigan. Poor me. Life is hard when there’s so much fun to do (and so much junk–heavy junk–to get rid of by any means possible).

You’ve probably already seen these, but they were all in my Rojo feed this morning (via BlogHer, since I don’t have a bunch of knitting blogs in my feed otherwise), and seemed to scream “SHOW COURTNEY” based on this entry.

(That last one looks quilted, rather than knitted, but hey.)
    Enjoy!

The steam room is HEAVEN. Well, it would be heaven if you could eat a sandwich in there.
Sorry no bites on the wedding dresses.
