in honor of the release of the newest harry potter movie in theaters today, i had to post my favorite potter puppet pals video. (thanks to claire for the tip off)

thai of athens is offering a special this summer: free ice cream with the purchase of dinner. (there may be a minimum purchase requirement –$10 maybe???– so be sure to ask your waiter before demanding a free scoop.) i had the green tea, but chip enjoyed the coconut. definitely a sweet surprise!

a tractor trailer truck chock full of yarn overturned on the “inner” loop early this morning. unfortunately, police have had difficulty cleaning up the mess due to a massive herd of kittens. apparently, the place is simply infested with kittens, too many crawling around to shoo, too cute to kill. word on the street is that the cops are having to call in some backup: the knogglers are on their way!
