$25 gift certificate to main street yarns
athenian knogglers – i have a $25 gift certificate to main street yarns. it is highly unlikely that i will use it. so, if you have $25 burning a hole in your pocket and an urge to buy yarn, please comment/email/text/twitter/call etc. and let me know that you want it. knitting is just not my passion at the moment, and i would much prefer the cash than another pre-wedding project.
SCOOTER!
a friend of ours is off to study in france this summer. (lucky!) this friend also happens to have several scooters that needed foster homes while he’s gone. chip and i were very happy to volunteer to keep one for the summer.
yesterday after work we both gave it a spin! chip looked like a pro right off the bat and had a blast tootling up and down the street. i was a nervous mess at first, but i ended up having so much fun chip didn’t think i was going to come home. (it really had more to do with the fact that i couldn’t turn very easily, and i couldn’t figure out how to get it back to the house.)
it’s 100% electric, goes pretty slow (i’m a big fan of this — chip is not), and it can go about 30 miles on a charge. should be fun for quick errands or just to get outside when gas tops $5 a gallon later this summer.
