Included are the twelve reasons for the death of small and independent book stores which are actually a little mean-spirited and blame the closings on everyone from teachers to authors to the public in general.<\/p>\n<p>Recently, we had one of the few indie bookstores <a href=\"http:\/\/onlineathens.com\/stories\/033104\/bus_20040331048.shtml\">left in Athens close<\/a>.  Old Black Dog closed years ago. I can&#8217;t think of any new bookstores that aren&#8217;t Borders or B&amp;N.
