Had dinner at Clocked with Courtney and Susan. Switched from satellite and DSL to cable for both. Happy with the internet but not so much with the TV yet. I can’t find the much dreaded ir blaster so I can’t use the box with the replay yet. I’m assuming I can buy one in town somewhere but I am still looking for a better solution.<\/p>\n

Goblet of Fire<\/i> is slow going so far. I feel like i have been reading it for days and they JUST got to Hogwart’s.<\/p>\n

All three Harry Potter movies are on the way from Netflix. And a disc of “Clarissa Explains It All”.<\/p>\n

I’m going to go get food and coffee somewhere and read before work. Laters.<\/p>\n

I know some of you out there reading really hate Dave Eggers. That’s cool, I’ve never actually read that staggering genius or whatever book (but I know that “What Would Judd Do?” Winick is in it) but I do subscribe to McSweeney’s Quarterly because four times a year, you get something very interesting in the mail. Issue 17 is not an ordinary issue of McSweeney’s. It is, however, an ordinary-looking bundle of mail, stacked and rubber-banded, containing the usual items: a recent issue of Yeti Researcher; a large envelope, called Envelope, containing fine oversized reproductions of new art; a sausage-basket catalog; a flyer for slashed prices on garments that are worn by more than one person at a time; a new magazine of experimental fiction called Unfamiliar; a couple letters the usual.
