So, my cable modem went out again so I called Charter. I didn’t know that a fake woman could be so patronizing but the charter automated tech support pulls it off extremely well. It took me 15 minutes to get a real person and they told me they could come out MONDAY as in six days from now.<\/p>\n
So, I resigned myself to the fate of no internet for the rest of vacation (my back up access point at one of my neighbors disappeared). So, I wake up from my daily lunch induced nap and I saw a white truck outside.<\/p>\n
Could it be??<\/p>\n
I saw a Charter guy coming to disconnect my neighbor’s duplex and I asked him if he would check it out my problem while he was up there. He took me off a splitter and tightened up three loose fittings and it works great. Hell, I could have done that. Probably would have broken a leg or something but it might have been worth it.<\/p>\n
We talked about stealing digital cable, the Philidelphia school districts definition of a mile, 3-baud modems that weighed 88lbs, and combat zones and now I am blissfully reconnected.<\/p>\n
