It&#8217;s people like the ones in this story that restore my faith in my hatred of college students in this town.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>from the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.redandblack.com\/vnews\/display.v\/ART\/2005\/09\/01\/431659f90f297\">Red and Black&#8217;s Guide to Fleamarkets<\/a>:<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I&#8217;m selling this sweater from United Colors of Benetton, but most of the people here don&#8217;t know what Benetton is,&#8221; Johnson said, laughing.<br \/>\n&#8230;<br \/>\nAlthough the two girls have only had a booth at J &amp; J&#8217;s a few times over the past few years, many vendors, people who Pflugh affectionately refers to as &#8220;carnies,&#8221; come back every weekend, or even travel around the state to attend different markets.<br \/>\n&#8230;<br \/>\nThe trio, dressed in preppy, clean-cut attire, stood out among the usually casual country crowd.<\/p>\n<p>Strunk had never been to the flea market before, but Sharp was familiar with J &amp; J&#8217;s because of a purchase he had made last year.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The last time I was here I bought a duck for $5 for my apartment. Today I want to buy this sword with a skull on it,&#8221; Sharp said.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>I thought that Tess, Eleanor, and Sean might be coming to town tonight but it seems now that they aren&#8217;t coming to Athens until Friday.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Robert posted this on his LJ but I thought I would put it here also.
