It is a 2006 Toyota Corolla which had 14 miles on it when I test drove it and subsequently purchased it. I looked for one with lower mileage but 14 is the best I could do.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/chipw\/182768645\/\" title=\"Photo Sharing\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/static.flickr.com\/65\/182768645_dd9273d0b4_m.jpg\" width=\"240\" height=\"180\" alt=\"My New Car\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>It turned out that with a special interest rate for new cars (1.9%), it was cheaper for me to get a new one than some of the used ones I was looking at.  It is not a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.boredathenians.com\/2006\/07\/happiest-boy-alive.html\">cool scooter like Sheni got<\/a>, but I have driven it for a few days and have no bruises, so I probably made the smart choice.  Since I am planning on driving this car until at least 2016 or longer, I think I will buy an <a href=\"http:\/\/www.icarkits.com\/product_info.php?products_id=66\">ipod adapter<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.carbuddies.com\/\">something from here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Veronica, Kate, and Scrappy came over for a small cookout on the 4th and then Scrappy and I watched fireworks from our gym parking lot and then from the loop.<\/p>\n<p>My three weeks of vacation is drawing to an end.  Back to work on Monday. I am expecting a delivery of 215 laptops to show up sometime next week and then it is work work work for the rest of the summer.<\/p>\n<p>About to go to the gym.  I am listening to <em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/product\/0425198685\/\">Pattern Recognition<\/a><\/em> which is good but I only allow myself to listen to it while working out. So, it gives me a better incentive than just that whole HEALTH thing.<\/p>\n<p>I am working on the third chapter of <em>Wired Love<\/em>.
