After my success with the whole bagel endeavor, I decided to continue my culinary exploration with something I found online called a “sandwich”. It dates back to the 1st Century BC but is more popularly associated with John Mantagu<\/a>, the 4th Earl of Sandwich, because one time he ate some bread and cheese. So, I got up early this morning and put together the ingredients.<\/p>\n

\"Ingredients,<\/a>

Roast beef, cheese. Not pictured: bread, mustard<\/p><\/div>\n

I chose roast beef and provolone for my first attempt.<\/p>\n

Take two pieces of bread (this can be bought at most grocery stores) and spread your condiment of choice (be creative!).<\/p>\n

I chose mustard and used a butter knife to spread it on the bread. I thought I might need a mustard knife but I googled it and they said it would be OK.<\/p>\n

Next, I took the meat and the cheese and placed each on a piece of the bread.<\/p>\n

Now, the next step can take some getting used to. It’s OK if you fail the first couple of times because it is hard to work outside your comfort zone.\u00a0 You need to put one piece of bread on top of the other one. The trick is to not let the meat or cheese fall down. It’s hard to visualize so I made a quick video.<\/p>\n

After that, it’s pretty much a sandwich.<\/p>\n

If you don’t plan on eating it now, you can buy protective bags to protect your sandwich. These are called “sandwich bags” and are available from amazon.com<\/a>.<\/p>\n

This way, you can take your sandwich on the road, to school, or to work.<\/p>\n
