No."},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The year is coming a close. Not the decade, mind you, but the year.  But, much like 10 years ago, there is really something about that 9 turning into a 0 that really gets everyone all excited and stuff. So, I&#8217;ll play along.<\/p>\n<p>What was I doing 10 years ago?<\/p>\n<p>I was &#8230;<br \/>\nliving at Grady Avenue with Wendy.<br \/>\nworking at Athens Academy trying to get the internet working.<br \/>\nbuying Capri Suns and glitter fruit rollups for a Y2K party.<br \/>\ncomplaining that Starbucks came to Athens.<br \/>\nbragging on my $800, 20-hour ReplayTV.<br \/>\ntaking pictures with my Poloroid I-Zone sticker camera.<br \/>\ndrinking at the properly located Lunch Paper.<\/p>\n<p>Man, but we were all about the future back then and a lot of it still hasn&#8217;t happened yet.<\/p>\n<p>It is fucking 2010 almost and we *still* don&#8217;t have bubble cars or the unitarded triumvirate of white haired old men leading us.<\/p>\n<p>Well, they haven&#8217;t *revealed* themselves, anyway.<\/p>\n<p>I may start working on some &#8220;Best of the Decade&#8221; lists, but in reality, I&#8217;ll probably just continue not to blog.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The year is coming a close.
