Homebodies

So I learned my brother and I bought houses in the same week. He and a friend bought a place together in downtown Savannah. It used to be a quadroplex but was fixed up and changed into two townhouses, so they each have one. I know Austin must be thrilled to be living downtown again, a few blocks from work. I love all the squares in Savannah, the live oaks dripping with moss, the coolness in the shade, the gorgeous architecture. Can’t wait to visit!
Meanwhile, my house progress is I have signed all the loan papers but now I need to get the inspection–hoping it can be done by Friday. I want to see what all is wrong with this house. Hope to get more precise measurements in the kitchen so I can go to Lowe’s and plan the layout. There aren’t enough exclamation points in the world to end that sentence.

Congratulations! The loan stuff is always the most annoying part. Good luck with the inspection.
I REALLY need to go somewhere to plan our kitchen layout–particularly our cabinets. We just can’t seem to decide what size range to get. And if we get the smaller range with one oven, do I need a second oven somewhere? Decisions, decisions… Glad you’re having fun with it!

Lowe’s is the land of lumber and honey.

Planning a kitchen sounds like fun. Now, using it, on the other hand, sounds frightening. But surely I will eat things MADE in the kitchen.
