Help Me Pick Out Countertops!

I have been pretty great about making decisions about the house. “I’ll take that fridge, that dishwasher, does this one come in this color, okay I will take it.” I wavered a bit on my kitchen floor, and I’m still apprehensive about the wild colors, but the decision was made. But now, kitchen countertops. They’re impossible! There are billions of laminate colors and textures (laminate is all I can afford). Plus I need to match it to my conservative, oldfashioned white cabinets and brushed silver pulls, butter yellow walls, and wild blue, teal, and purple tile floor. I have narrowed it down (though I could waver on this even) on a neutral beigey type color. Here are three I’m considering.

Perplexed as I am, I thought, “Well, I’ll just copy countertops I like elsewhere.” But then I realized, I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT COUNTERTOPS ARE USED ANYWHERE! Does anybody notice them? I can’t tell you what color my parents’ counters are, what they were in my first house, my second house, or my third house. I remember the California house had white tiles, only because I didn’t know how to care for tile counters at the time. And of course I remember Anne Marie’s gorgeous divine black granite ones, which I definitely can’t afford, and the black wouldn’t work in my pastel-y kitchen anyway, I don’t think. Anyway, all this misery making a decision over something I will probably never notice. Unless it’s the wrong decision, which I will notice and dread forever and ever.

I like the one on the far right. It seems to have some good undertones that might work with the floor’s colors.
I’ve loved a couple of my countertops. Tiny pink tile in my first Hollywood apartment. Large pale yellow tile here.
Good luck with your decision-making process!

Sorry if this double-posts but I got an error the first time…
I like the one on the far left the best. I feel like it’s got enough “oomph!” that it can tie together the “wild floors” and the softer walls. The others just seem too neutral to me.
Good luck! I can’t wait to see the finished house!!!

I like the one on the far left. And holy crap, that means your kitchen is almost finished! Soon you will acually be able to live in your house 🙂
    Yay!

Have you posted a picture of the kitchen floor? If so, I missed it somehow! Without seeing it it’s hard to say, but given the description, I think that the sample on the far left will have enough guts to hold its own with the tile. They all look pretty with the yellow walls… Now will you help me pick all the paint colors for my house? 🙂
