The End of Knitting Projects and Love Affairs

I have a sinus infection. It’s a drag, but at least I’m not nonfunctional ill. I only have to work a half day today, so I plan to paint my bathroom this afternoon. Picked out the color “Ice Sculpture,” which is sort of a medium sky blue. Pictures later, if my computer at home will cooperate.
Last night I finished knitting my skirt, since I ran out of yarn. It’s very short, and very wide. I need to sew elastic in, per the directions, and I think I might sew in a lining of some sort. I’m also almost done with the Elsebeth Lavold sweater–I just have to pick up stitches and do a few lines around the neck, then seam it all together! So many projects finishing, so many more to start! I think I’ll pull out some kidsilk haze I’ve been hoarding, but not entirely sure what I’ll make with it yet. I’ve been wanting to make a light sweater with it, but I also want to try Butterfly. I have the color “Trance,” which is what HEJ made this gorgeous wrap with.
I also watched the movie Alphaville last night, recommended by my friend Pat. Strange but good. Interesting to look at. I like the secret agent name Lemmy Caution. There was some Russian, and that was nice to hear.
Ow. My head.
I learned in all that marriage therapy in California that to get rid of a bad thought or habit, you replace it with a good one. I’m over my recent heartache and ego wound, but it still sits there in my chest, dead and cluttersome. I need to find a new crush, feel the high of sighs, but I can’t think of any. This is annoying me. Greatly. Usually a movie star or singer will do in a pinch, but I can’t even think of any of those who make my knees go weak. Or even distract me remotely. Any suggestions? Who do you daydream about?
