My new computer arrived today. Hooray! Hope to blog from it wirelessly from my house later tonight, if Chip has time to help with the set up. AND, I just got a call from the furniture company, and my new bed is available for me to pick up. Hooray!
I have to say how helpful I found this book, which my friend Lane lent to me. I know it probably seems obvious to everyone else, but the premise really helped me. I was so confused by the misdirection and excuses the last boy gave me, hell, wasn’t even sure if he broke up with me or not, and I certainly didn’t understand why, what happened–all out of an effort to be kind and protect my feelings–which backfired–but now I know–he’s just not that into me. And that’s fine. That I can understand. It’s clear. Of course, I don’t know why every person in the world isn’t madly in love with me, but if they aren’t, that’s fine, their loss. I am actually totally relieved by this news. It finally makes sense, and I can put the worries and confusion to rest. Ahhhh.
Today my friend/coworker Alison and I went yarn shopping and then to lunch at Big Easy. I ordered some dark red Debbie Bliss Cashmerino Aran for the Tubey pattern. Soooo soft and delicious. Can’t wait to get my hands on it–in a week or so. I also ordered quiche and salad and sweet tea. Life is good.
Tomorrow night I’m going to see Packway Handle and some other fabulous country/alt type bands at the Georgia Theater. I hope I am not too old to stay up to see PH play–they are supposed to start at midnight, which will of course be 1:00. Plan to move into my house this weekend, really start living there. And this Monday is a holiday, and I’m going to volunteer to celebrate King’s legacy, at least for an hour or two. Here are some options in town:
