Green–Down the Drain

No grass for me. My watering variance has been revoked due to extra-extreme drought. The utilities called and said so. They won’t even give me a few more days to finish letting my lawn get establised before it is put on a serious water diet. They did not warn me of this when I applied for the variance just over a week ago. And they are letting golf courses water. Rrrrrrrr. That’s $200 on hoses and hose holders and and sprinklers, probably $75 on seed and fertilizer and soil, $50 for aerator rental and $50 for gas for my Dad’s truck to pick up the aerator, and probably $50 on watering so far–so around $425 plus lots of manual labor and time and effort–down the drain. I am so sad. Stupid government mismanagement of Mother Nature!
