Saturday morning we went to Washington Farms to pick big, ripe, delicious, sweet, red strawberries.
Mmmm, strawberries
Here they are as babies.

I might’ve been sampling the produce. The Professor took this picture and a few others here with his new camera.

Kristy was well camouflaged.

Melanie picked half a peck.
Melanie and her pretty red batch
April and Anne Marie took some home too.

The Professor and Sarah also partook in the adventure, though not pictured, and we ran into Chip and Beth there.
I picked two gallons, and I froze a bunch and ate a bunch and gave a bunch to my mom and to my grandmother for Mother’s Day, and I still have a few more to eat. I may just have to go back next weekend.

I have SO MUCH jam now. Not that I’m complaining… Thad and I have been making good use of it over vanilla ice cream. I’m ready for blackberry season now. I had a great time pickin’ fruit – thanks for making that happen!
