Rival Knitting Gangs

hannah emailed me the idea of rival knitting gangs. let’s flesh it out. both gangs would be after the same thing.
what do knitters need?
really rare yarn?
do shipments of really rare yarn even exist? maybe a knitting contest so we could have some wacky sabotage scenes and undercover spies.
and of course someone would be trying to get best kntting blog of the year as a subplot.
