Kate just left. We’ve spent the past two hours discussing what people our age and of our social group are supposed to be doing in Athens in the year 2000. The answer: we have no idea. We’re not band people. We’re not cool art people. We are not brought together by any common goal or interest as much as we have been thrown together by the fact that we were all born in Athens in the 1970’s and have decided to stay here for whatever reasons. She wants new blood in the crowd like I do.
After work I went to the Manhattan again. This time with Charles, Allison, Kay, Susan, Sara and Sean. Then we went to dinner at Normaltown where I saw tons of peeps: Cash, John, and Libby Morris, Tom Payton and Patrick Allen of Hill Street Press and students Rachel, Collen, Jared and Alice. I also saw Joanna that I met on Christmas at Stevie’s house.
