On all my trips, I have to decide whether or not the laptop is worth taking. The hotel does not seem to have ethernet in the room so this is a con.
I have found some places with WiFi which is a pro. Some of these are:
LittleItalyWireless: Free Wi-Fi Access in Downtown San Diego, CA and a bunch more.
I think our hotel is in downtown, so it might not be too sketchy to take the laptop outside in the morning or evening to write the blog and read the email and upload the pictures.
