EastEnders cancelled on BBC America.

I am very upset about this. Of all the shows I watch, this is the one that I HAVE to watch. And now I have no way to watch it. Maybe I can find a way to get it on the web or something. Maybe someone in England can mail me tapes. I need to write some letters to BBCA.

Apparently, I can download episodes from alt.binaries.multimedia and there is some talk of DC++ hubs and some BitTorrents of EastEnders that may be floating around. All of this is unconfirmed at this time.

BBCA has consistently shown that it’s all about the bucks, not the viewer. Well, this is American TV after all: Discovery Networks.
EastEnders can’t be repeated over and over again like Changing Rooms or Ground Force and of course the great god Nielsen rules all.
They never promoted it, so it failed, shuffled off to a ridiculous time slot and dying away, disappointing thousands of fans.

I am so dissappointed that Eastenders has been cancelled. I agree, they never tried to promote the show. I am so sick of Changing Rooms ect, when ever I would put BBC America on that is all you saw foor promos. I hope that a lot of fans will join me and stop watching BBC America then lets see what their “Nielson Ratings” show.

The show was cancelled because BBCA has plans to market the show on a Video On Demand network. They did this to boost future sales when the show is launched on the new network. “Follow the money trail” and you will always find the answer!

BBCAmerica is dead to me right now. I have never been so angry with a television network in my life.

After Ground Force and Changing rooms went into the endless rerun cycle, it was the only show on the network worth watching.

I will stop watching BBC America from now on. I cannot believe they stopped the show without even a warning. They really do not care about the consumers.
Eastenders was just getting to a crucial storyline with Dirty Den (Sharon’s Dad) comeing back after all these years being “dead”.

The only thing worth watching was The Office and Eastenders. Who wants Changing Rooms and Ground Force all day long?? Those shows aren’t even that popular in UK anymore…

Please all join me in boycotting BBC America!!!!

I have watched Eastenders for 5 years. This is a lot of time to invest in TV programming…but Eastenders is well worth it.

Please give Eastenders another chance on BBCAmerica
