Hear it, understand it, sympathize with it. But I’m going to keep buying from iTunes and let the artists worry about renegotiating their contracts. The alternatives of various Net anarchies seem worse in the long run.
I think it’s rather harsh. Apple revealed in their shareholder meeting that with bandwidth and maintenance costs, they BARELY break even on the iTMS. They only make money off of it via the sale of iPods.
I don’t fault Apple for needing not to take a loss on it. But I do think the labels are excessively greedy.
