Crazy Day

So, today started off pretty badly when I got to work and found out that one of our servers (Lumpkin – our connection to the outside world) decided to die last night. I spent most of the day reassigning tasks to the other servers. I think it is all working as well as can be expected anc CashMo and I will replace the system board in it tomorrow to see if she wants to turn back on.

After all that, we had a tablet PC go all wonky for someone who was on her way out of town and we spent a while working on that.

But, when we get home, Cash finds that we have a construction permit from the FCC saying that we can start building our radio station (93.3 FM) and, in fact, have to have it broadcasting in 18 months, so sometime before November 2005.

Now that we actually have the piece of paper, we can start talking to some of the contacts we have lined up, we can start renovating the basement at Grady Ave which will be our station (hopefully, i’m worried about zoning), and figure out how to actually build a radio station from scratch. Email me at chip at athenstown dot com if you have any knowledge or experience with this.
