Four Scorpios Walk Into A Bar

I spent Friday night with Kate, David, and Jenny. We had dinner at Wild Wing Cafe and discovered that it was the Karaoke FINALS. After dinner, we went upstairs and watched about five of the singers. I was partial to the girl singing “Stay” by Lisa Loeb but that is probably because I like Lisa Loeb and the girl singing was sort of hot.

We went to Room 13 afterwards and ended up playing Spin the Bottle which Kate was totally not all about but it was fun anyway. Jenny and David played pool and the four of us played some Foos Ball. Fairly entertaining evening.

Saturday AM, I walked down to Jocelyn’s and back to make up for a night downtown. After this, I went to my grandparent’s and had lunch with them and Mom and Missy and Lori. Came home, took a nap, and then Kate called to say she and David were going to “Napoleon Dynamite” in a few minutes and so I tagged along with them.

After the movie, I rushed over to the bowling alley where I was meeting Jenny, Lorraine, and Tony. Lorraine and Jenny are the Drama Dept. at school. Tony is Lorraine’s hisband. Jenny and Tony were throwing a surprise party for Lorraine’s 40th birthday last night. We had to keep her out and then get her back to her house in Farmington at 7:30.

Bowling was going much faster than we planned and so we in the know had to all take bathroom breaks which happened to coincide with our turns. Lorraine thought we had 7:30 Inoko reservations so she was getting sort of annoyed at us when I suggested we go play air hockey. Jenny and Tony played pool and I made us stay to watch some kids play Dance Dance Revolution. When it was time to go, Tony said he forgot his wallet and they needed to go back home to get it.

Jenny and I said we would go ahead to Inoko and hold the table. Tony went to the bathroom one last time to stall while Jenny and I booked it to Farmington (slowing down in Bishop, cause you know, it’s BISHOP) and met all the partiers about 10 minutes before L and T got there.

I thought we might have given Lorraine a heart attack when everyone yelled surprise because she let out a pretty big scream. It was a fun party, everyone brought food and we stayed there until 11 or so when Jenny and I were both falling asleep. We came back to town, I dropped her off at her apartment, and I came home and fell asleep on the couch.

I’m cleaning out the bedroom for Christine to move in this week. I’ve been doing that this morning and tonight I am going to John Mayer and Maroon 5 with Sam and Hannah.

A nap may be in the cards also. We’ll see.
