Sore Throat

Far too much yelling and singing last night. The entire evening seemed to take place with a dull roar in the background. Kate, Jenny and I had dinner at Agua Linda and then went to Room 13. D.C. Susan and Sean were going to come down but then didn’t. Luckily, we got in touch with Jocelyn and Peter.

They met us at karaoke at Wild Wing. Apparently you can take the girl away from the drama department but you can’t take the drama department out the girl. We met some guys that I didn’t really like at first but we convinced him to go sing “I Believe in a Thing Called Love” and I have to admit, he was pretty good. Jenny and some random girl sang “Earl” (Dixie Chicks) and she and Brandon (the Darkness guy) sand “Summer Lovin'”. I was considering singing it with her but I have never done karaoke before. I wasn’t sure if I was ready for that next stage in my life.

Of course, Kate thought all my possible choices were lame but what girl wouldn’t want to go home with a guy who was man enough to sing Avril Lavigne? Maybe next Friday.

All of us went to 283 (including the two boys that someone in our group picked up, not sure who they belonged to). They did invite us to a keg party with 14 kegs. Honestly, there has been NO point in my life when that even remotely sounded like a good idea. Thankfully, none of us went.

We left Jenny and Jocelyn together which I realize now might be a very dangerous combo. Jenny’s car was not at my house this AM so I guess she got home at some point!

Christine is moving in today.
