So, my fave new show of the season is Veronica Mars (UPN and, oddly, MTV). It is pretty much a show that Susan and I would write. Teen girl private eye. What makes me sad is that Paris Hilton will be on this show in some capacity. We’ll see how this goes.
Veronica’s dad was the local sheriff who got fired after he supposedly bungled a murder case (of Veronica’s BFF, whose Dad made he town lots of money). He is now a private eye and Veronica solves crimes after school. Kind of like my life, only completely and totally different. There is an ongoing plot line about her mom’s possible involvment in the murder case.
Overall, this has been a pretty crappy season for new shows. “Lost” has potential but we’ll have to see. I saw the pilot in San Diego and it was good but I want to see more of the continuing story.
