Stephie just left my house. We had dinner at the Globe where I ran into Kelly, one of my former students. Steph came over and we watched Veronica Mars and Lost.
My heat is being all weird. It works when I first turn it on but then doesn’t restart the furnace (or whatever) after it cycles. I need to get that looked at pretty soon.
Amy M. has been doing some research for me about performing sitcoms live. She found one article where some peeps got a cease and desist for performing the Golden Girls (which, ironically, was the script I downloaded today). But, she also said that we probably wouldn’t get in trouble if we didn’t charge money AND the Regional Library auditorium is available for free for any event that it is free and open to the public.
I think I may be getting a sore throat.
What else has been going on… We gave ourselves hacker names at work based on Pooh and his 100 Acres Haxor Posse. I know that Meg is w1nn13 teh p00h and I am something like xtoph3r r0b1n. I forget what Shawn and Susan are. We are so 1337, yo.
Reading Xenocide now. I’m hooked on the Ender Wiggin and I only have Sam to blame|thank.
I may go see Le Tigre on 12/9 at 40 Watt. I want to go to Coachella 2005 and SXSW and Field Day if it happens again. Maybe even Bonnaroo. You think I could quit my job and just go to festivals for a year? Will y’all support me?
Tinsley and I are getting Holgas soon. Expect to see my crappy “art” photos to show up soon on the b|06.
Totally support the live sitcom plan. Definitely no cease and desist for free theatre. Cool idea.
Since I played Rabbit’s niece Early in “The House on Pooh Corner” (my first play, 1977), would that make me 3ar1y? That’s not a terribly exciting hacker name. Maybe I’m doing 1337 wrong? I’m so old.
Good luck with the festival fund via Google ads. That’d be some success story!
