The question now becomes, what do you want it to feel like? Warm and Cozy? Fun and whimsical (spelling?)? Classic? Thematical?
Too bad you already painted the back bedroom pumpkin. I keep wanting to try a pumpkin-colored kitchen. How about yellow? Ooh, my first apartment in SF had yellow walls with the cabinets painted a pumpkiny color. I loved it (it was more subtle than it sounds).

Oranges, yellows, and reds are supposed to increase appetite, so perfect for a kitchen and nook. Blues and greens cool it somewhat. Are you going to paint the wood panelling? That answer might affect what colors you choose.
