WUOG did not do anything wrong. The FCC accidently misplaced a piece of paper in the wrong folder and since we’re not exactly Clear Channel communications, they haven’t noticed until now.

Sounds in C Tucker’s comment like the FCC might have been telling 90.5 different things at different times.
My theory?
Well, the FCC has a kazillion experiences in its history. WUOG gets a new gang of kiddos running the show every year or two.
Who most likely screwed something up?
PS–I always used the “certified mail” trail of paperwork when dealing with the FCC. Call me old school–but call me the grad advisor whose station only went off the air when the studio was vandalized or under renovations.
PPS–Notice how the FCC was “unavailable for comment” but the grad advisor “refused to comment” in the “Red & Black” article? Hm.
