What’s the ratio of read books to unread books in your house?
I have a lot of books in my house. I have so many books that I had an air conditoner and dehumidifier put in my new storage shed so the books and comics would be able to live in a happy place. These are the ones that aren’t on one of the dozen or so sets of shelves that are actually inside my house.
What prompted this entry was the fact that I received my THIRD package this week from Amazon when I got home from work today. When you figure in my $50/week comic book habit and the fact that I have a job and TV to watch, there is no way that I can possibly read as fast as I purchase.
But they are all so pretty and they smell good. TV doesn’t smell as good as Adventure Comics does. And have you noticed that “Borders Smell” that all the books from there seem to have. I have.
I was actually just sitting down to blog what I was reading and all the above just started spilling out. Here is what I have purchased recently.
- Everything Bad Is Good for You: How Today’s Popular Culture Is Actually Making Us Smarter
- Pledged: The Secret Life of Sororities
- Here, There & Everywhere
- The new novelization of Crisis on Infinite Earths
- This Time of Darkness
- The Girl, the Gold Watch, & Everything
- Assassination Vacation
My guess is that it will be 2006 before I finish all the books on that list. I may never finish some of them.
I’m going to go watch TV now.
