Fantastic!!!! I have never had a grasp on that. Now why continent does Greenland and Russia belong to?
Greenland (Kaalit Nunaaat) is an Island in North America governed by the authority of the Danish Crown.
The word “Russia” as a singular noun is an English Affectation. The Title of Nicolas II was “Czar of all the Russias”, which is to say, Emperor of all provinces that are Russian.
Russia is east and west of the Urals (which were formed at the same time as the Appalachians, FYI). Historic Russia is entirely west of the Urals, which would make it entirely European.
