Creepy Stalker Mix

While fixng laptops, the Cason and I are writing down what songs would be on our Creepy Stalker CD Mix.
She suggested this Clay Aiken song which I have never heard:

INVISIBLE Lyrics – CLAY AIKEN

If I was invisible
Then I could just watch you in your room
If I was invisible
I’d make you mine tonight
If hearts were unbreakable
Then I can just tell you where I stand
I would be the smartest man
If I was invisible
(Wait..I already am)

That song is made even creepier by the fact that it is Clay Aiken.

Yeah – that song is Crrrrr-eepy. It’s always the quiet, seemimgly wholesome ones you have to watch out for.

So what were the other songs on the list?

Holy Crap! That is scary! I’ve heard it but never listened to the words. Indeed, the source makes it ubercreepy.

“Every Breath You Take” is the prettiest stalker song, and also quite scary.

Country music has its own spinoff of this song–the “I will/did kill you because you left me/cheated on me.” Ick. Mostly male singers stick to it–Johnny Cash, Dwight Yoakam, Lyle Lovett, so on ad infinitum. Garth Brooks became famous and rich for singing a “funny” upbeat song about a man killing his wife and her lover by running his semitruck into their hotel room (“Mama’s in the Graveyard, Papa’s in the Pen”–lovely). But when the Dixie Chicks did “Earl,” which was actually about a woman poisoning her husband/abuser that the law c/wouldn’t protect her from, there was outrage. Ugh, world. Ugh.
