Last Day of Summer

It’s about 2:00 AM on what will be my last day of summer at school. Flivver, Shawn, Susan, and I might have a little party if there isn’t too much work to do. Since we don’t have the new computers in yet, I think that this Saturday I might go bike shopping with my Mom’s husband Keith. Kent and Jenny both have Jamis bikes but I honestly don’t know crap about this sort of thing so any suggestions are super appreciated.

I saw Benji’s Mom and Elissa’s Mom at Panera at lunch time and got to see baby pictures and my picture taken by Marilyn’s camera phone. Then we worked a bit more but secretly we were all getting ready for the big back to school dinner. I took Tera and we sat with Lydia C., Jenny, Shawn, Jody, Steve and Beth with drop-ins by Jess, Chris, and the couple which will henceforth be known as Manly and Half-Pint for reasons only really funny to a few of us. Jocelyn took a picture of the Tera and me before our big date and I can only assume it will show up on her blog at some point.

I convinced Tessa that she should buy the $400 car stereo with the CD player and the iPod adapter instead of the $200 because that is the kind of friend I am. She sounded pleased with the purchase so I think it was the right choice.

If the plan still is on, I am taking Scooley out tonight for her 30th birthday. I haven’t seen her for ages, so I am looking forward to that.

I feel myself getting tired, thank goodness.

One Response to Last Day of Summer

  1. Jesse says:

Thank you for getting Tessa to buy the more expensive car stereo. Jennie says she would have spent it on crack, otherwise. (And I’m not talking about rock cocaine, either.)
