Things I Did Today.
A Series of Haiku by Chip Woods.
1.
Phone call while working.
Plane landed on the highway.
Ron ran out of gas.
2.
I went to Shawn’s house
And then I broke my glasses
before our bike ride.
3.
Tape. That Magic Tool.
That fixes things that are broke.
Like broke ass glasses.
4.
Bike Ride. Ow. Dear God.
Muscles. New and all hurty.
Where did those come from?
5.
Tired and need rest.
They say sleep when you are dead.
How about right now?
So, yeah. I would rate my first official bike ride in ten years a 5 or 6. Shawn and I rode from his house on Nantahala down to Sandy Creek Park using the Oconee Greenway. I was cool until we got back to College Ave and then it is pretty much uphill to Shawn’s. That just about killed me. But, hey, if I do it often enough it will be no problem. This was my payback for sleeping an extra hour this morning instead of rushing to work. I have been talking on the phone to Tessa every night which is wonderful but is wreaking havok with my sleeping schedule.
Off to find some way to make a dinner out of salmon and whatever else is in my kitchen. I need to get some propane for the new grill. Argh.
Ouch! I’m in pain just thinking about it. Hope you have special biking shorts…
Grilled salmon is good… Get the propane!
I heart your haikus.
Hope your hurty muscles heal.
Wanna go skate soon?
