I haven’t been blogging at all about New Orleans because I don’t really have much to add from my house 504 miles away. But I just find a few things disturbing yet fascinating about how all this is unfolding.
I have been reading the Breaking News section from the Times-Picayune where I have just learned that the Astrodome now has its own zip code for evacuees. But then, I came across one with reader submitted stories where people are posting about where they know people are trapped. All this is really hard to comprehend to me.
Another blog which is completely fascinating and will quite possibly be optioned for a movie at some point is located at http://mgno.com/. This guy with military training rode out Katrina and aftermath in a data center in downtown New Orleans blogging the whole time. Start at the beginning and read the whole thing.
This will probably be my only Nola/Katrina post.
