I have spent several days getting my MythTV box up and running. I have not installed the TV tuner card yet but I do have it up enough to watch my “Eastenders” and other downloaded videos. I can play MP3s so I can hear my Coast to Coast. The tuner card came in the mail this morning so I will probably try and install that this afternoon.
Sara was over here the other day while we were thinking of what to name the new computer and so we pulled out the copy of Bullfinch’s Mythology that my grandparents gave to me when I was nine. We flipped and pointed randomly and chose the name Ysenne who is “the beautiful niece of [King] Arthur”.
Briefly, the specs of Ysenne are P4 3Gz, 1 Gb RAM, Nvidia GeForce 4 for TV out, pcHDTV HD3000 for TV input, 346 GB of available HD space, and I am using a Gyration wireless keyboard instead of a remote control.
Come by and visit me and Ysenne if you want to. I am in the process of copying over videos to make more space on my other computers. I do still have the first three Doctors to download. I also downloaded all the Young Ones the other day at Veronica’s suggestion because I had not seen those since high school. I don’t think I have watched American television at all this week. I have watched “Extras”, “Spaced”, “Doctor Who”, and “Eastenders”.
