Saturday

I wish more days could be like Saturday. I was planning on having a quiet day at home of cleaning, laundry, and catching up on a week’s worth of TV. But, Scrappy called me while I was buying milk for my day of coffee drinking and suggested we go to have breakfast at Zim’s.
This seemed like an excellent idea to me so I came home with my groceries and met her and we went to Beechwood. We decided that it would be more fun to eat our bagels at Border’s and look at books instead of just each other so we walked over there. We were looking at a color scheme book when all of a sudden Jocelyn appeared. She sat down with us and we chatted for a while and then I went to put the book back up and bumped into Hamilton. Hamil came and sat with us and asked if we wanted lunch. Since it had been well over an hour since bagels at this point we went to Jason’s Deli.
Jocelyn and Scrappy took off to continue their days elsewhere and Hamil and I went to Courtney’s housewarming party. We had a great time there and ate MORE food. Part of the party ended up making a Target/Michael’s run and then we all broke up for downtime.
Saturday night, some of us reconvened for downtown Taco Stand, Hot Corner Coffee, and the Globe. We were all fighting the urge to go home and sleep because we wanted to go to Caledonia. Sadly, the sleep monster got us and we all went home. Once I got home, I ended up talking on the phone and reading an old copy of “Truly Tasteless Jokes IV” and laughing a lot more than was probably appropriate.

I wish more days could be like Saturday, too. Alas, everyday is like Sunday. ;(
But brunch @ Five & Ten makes Sundays a little less silent and grey.:)
