So, I sucked it up and bought a new car the other day. It is a 2006 Toyota Corolla which had 14 miles on it when I test drove it and subsequently purchased it. I looked for one with lower mileage but 14 is the best I could do.
It turned out that with a special interest rate for new cars (1.9%), it was cheaper for me to get a new one than some of the used ones I was looking at. It is not a cool scooter like Sheni got, but I have driven it for a few days and have no bruises, so I probably made the smart choice. Since I am planning on driving this car until at least 2016 or longer, I think I will buy an ipod adapter and something from here.
Veronica, Kate, and Scrappy came over for a small cookout on the 4th and then Scrappy and I watched fireworks from our gym parking lot and then from the loop.
My three weeks of vacation is drawing to an end. Back to work on Monday. I am expecting a delivery of 215 laptops to show up sometime next week and then it is work work work for the rest of the summer.
About to go to the gym. I am listening to Pattern Recognition which is good but I only allow myself to listen to it while working out. So, it gives me a better incentive than just that whole HEALTH thing.
I am working on the third chapter of Wired Love. Should be ready to post soon.
Handsome car, even if it is well worn. When can I get a ride?

Sweet dude. I like your new car, although I am going to miss your pimpmobile.
A new car? Sweet! I like the color. Can’t wait to get a ride…
Coooooool!
I love how low that freakin’ interest rate is. Wow!
I bought the TicTac with eight miles on it in 1989 and I’m still drivin’ it, so definitely plan ahead for 2016 or so. 😉
Also, can I just say that I love your motivation-builder for going to the gym? Brilliant. I need to come up with something like that for me. Hmm…
