Update

So, what have I been doing lately?

Breaking the Spynotebook!

Last week, when you guys noticed the register.com page coming up, that was because I let the hosting expire because I am dumb and thought it had safe-renew turned on, and it didn’t. But, I got it fixed and we are good to go until November 2008.

But, then, just to see if I could break it EVEN MORE, I deleted an old domain that I no longer needed forgetting that the MySQL server with all of the Spynotebook was there.

So, Bonnie wrote me that she couldn’t comment the next day and I thought. “Hmm, wonder what that could be?”

So, I logged on and saw that the database was gone and I pretty much freaked out and decided that it wasn’t a big deal that losing 7 (Seven!) years of blog entries wasn’t that big of a deal. But, then the nice people at Dreamhost found the domainless serverless database floating around in the internet tubes and plucked it out for me.

No harm. No foul.

In non-computer news, I spent the day in Decatur yesterday. Kate, Scrappy, and I went to an arts and crafts show where Scrappy bought a painting. Then we went over to the Hansen-Ragland residence and I got a tour by Alex and the gals got a tour by Stephanie. Mine involved a lot more basement and wiring time.

Then we went to ANOTHER craft show, this time at a school near Alex and Stephanie. We then went to three restaurants before we found one open with seating. There were drunk elves there.

Afterwards, there was a visit to a knitting store and a CD store. Guess which one I enjoyed.

But, the best part of the entire day, was when Alex and Stephanie gave me my birthday present from last year.

That’s right, kids, Chip is finally going to learn to play the bagpipes.

Thank goodness for podcasting so none of you will feel left out!
