Oh, where to begin.
First off, we went to a cookout at the Professor’s house (in the ATL) this weekend which included EIGHT members of the ChipList (Me, Alex, Stephanie, Courtney, Tina, Sara, Big Mike, Kate) and people who WOULD be on the ChipList if it was still going (Scrappy). We went to Ikea, Borders, and Oxford Comics. I saw many many things I wanted (including the Professor’s new porch).
I am backing up my Macbook right now. I have the box from Apple to ship it to them tomorrow. I took it to a local shop authorized to fix Macs but I was not very happy with the customer service or the quote I received from them. They wanted $1100 (plus labor) for the logic board that Apple will put in for $800 (including labor). I could have bought a refurbished Macbook for the price of that one part! Now, Apple might charge more once they find the rich coffee smell from some other part, but it will still be cheaper in the long run.
I am not going to have my garage sale this weekend. I am going to sell a few items on Craig’s list and give the rest to Potter’s House. I have not discussed this with Sam or Hannah, but I think it may be time to find a new home for the Skee-Ball. More info as I wiffle waffle.
And yeah, I am totally pissed that I upgraded my iPhone to 1.1.1.
First off, I’m so sad to hear about the Macbook. 🙁
Second, it’s cool by me if you want to get rid of the skee-ball. If you actually are able to sell it, can I have my part in Buffy comics? (I’m so. far. behind. Haven’t gotten any since I left Athens. Sigh.)
Third, do you have Sam’s email address? I’m guessing her UGA one is gone by now since they kicked me out of mine a couple of months ago.
I SO want the Skee-Ball machine, but I have no place to put it. Plus, I’m sure I’d be over it after a month or so. Can I come play before you get rid of it?
