OnlineAthens: Features: Downtown produce market begins run today 05/17/03
The Downtown Athens Produce Market, which features home-grown fruit and vegetables, will open its Saturday morning run today in front of the First American Bank on College Avenue between East Washington Street and East Hancock Avenue.
The produce market will run from 7-11 a.m. Saturdays.
The market is a community project that is open to all area growers. It is sponsored by the Athens-Clarke County Extension Service, the Athens Downtown Development Authority and Athens Area Master Gardeners.
