At one point, Dreamwave actively pursued the licensing rights to do a “Jem and the Holograms” comic, but gave up when they realized they couldn’t make any money with it, as the license was too expensive.

I would read the heck out of a Jem comic. I have had ideas about this or a new animated series for years.

You have Jerrica who is really also Jem. Jem is just Jerrica when Synergy, the computer, projects a hologram around Jerrica making her look all 1980’s pop.
Jerrica is interested in the guy whose name I forget but he is interested in Jem. It’s the whole Clark-Lois love traingle. But, it just seemed more wrong somehow. I think Jerrica lead him on a bit more and didn’t get mad when he cheated on her with Jem. And you had a girl with blue hair named Kimber. How cute is that?
