Pirates

Finally saw “Pirates of the Caribbean”. We missed the first of it so if someone can give me the rundown of what happened up to Elizabeth waking up, I would appreciate it.

Susan Cooley and I went and we also had dinner at the former Parson’s, now the Old 441 Diner. Parson’s was better.

One Response to Pirates

  1. courtney says:

    As I recall . . .

Elizabeth is a little girl–maybe ten?–on a ship with her father et al., and she is at the bow looking through thick fog. She spies a boy floating on a bit of wood in the water and cries that he be saved. They pull him aboard, and as they are starting to attend to them, a burning pirated destroyed ship emerges from the fog, and all the men attend to that and ask Elizabeth to look over the little boy they just pulled aboard. She starts tending to him–he is still unconscious–and then notices the gold piece on a necklace. Due to the image stamped on it, she assumes he is a pirate, and she wants to protect him so she steals the piece of gold and hides it so her father et al. won’t discover the boy is a pirate. She then wakes up from a dream, then goes to look for the gold piece she had hidden in her drawer. Y’all fill in anything important I forgot to mention.
