Thrillerz coming
The downtown business scene will get a new nightclub soon when Thrillerz opens in the former Snow Tire building at 234 W. Hancock Street.
Partners Brian Duncan, Lee Yearwood, Don Bray and Eric Benford are renovating the old tire service building for an ’80s-themed club. Duncan said they expect to open Thrillerz by February or March.
Thrillerz will occupy between 8,000 and 9,000 square feet of the 11,000-square-foot building. The partners will use the other space for offices and storage. A stage will be available for occasional live music performances, but Duncan said the plan for regular entertainment is to employ DJs to play dance music from the 1980s.
