Stuff

Went to the John Mayer/Maroon 5/DJ Logic show at Lakewood on Sunday night with Sam and Hannah. Saw three people there that I knew, which was three more than I thought I would see. Last night, Stephanie and I went to Zim’s and to Border’s. There are a lot of books and magazines out there I want to read but I can’t buy anymore books until I read the ones in my piles at home. I did make an exception when I bought “The Great Superman Book” from Powells yesterday morning. This is a book that I read cover to cover as a kid several times. It’s an encyclopedia all about Superman. Gaining all my useless knowledge took a lot of work. Of course, most of what is in there in no longer valid post-crisis and post-Man of Steel but we won’t go into that here.

Skipping Dragon-Con this weekend. Annie and Mike will be here but I am hoping that I can see them anyway. After Comic-Con, my geek powers were depleted and I think I need a little more time before I can get back into the fray. I did have some of the 9th graders (the Manga Girls) come and ask me if I wanted to take all of them to Dragon-Con as a school trip. As fun as that would be, it sounds like a bit much. Maybe next year with a little more organization.

I have to go to Sam’s house to check for rodents tonight. If I find some and have to get rid of them, then she pretty much owes me for life. Are you reading this? That’s right. I really hate rodents. More than I hate mayonaise and the Georgia Theatre. Icky.

Tinsley sent me a copy of the Postal Service cover I’ve been wanting. I’m very happy when the kids and I end up intersecting on music. Makes my life much easer. If only I could get into “Something Corporate”.

Gotta get to work now.
